FBLA Power Lunch

On Thursday, October 22, Springville High’s FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) invited Utah Representative Stephen Whyte, Utah House District 63 (Mapleton City, Springville City, Spanish Fork City), to speak to over 80 students during lunch. Students from FBLA, Digital Marketing, and Economics classes were invited to the presentation. Representative Whyte presented on the history, constitution, and celebration of America’s 250th anniversary. Thank you representative Whyte.

Season Highlights
Final Record: 9-9 overall (6-6 in 5A Region 7 league play). Postseason Run: The Lady Red Devils advanced to the postseason, winning multiple tournament games before ultimately losing 0-2 to Bonneville in the 5A State Tournament on October 14, 2026.

Walking a straight line has NEVER been this hard

Springville High Resource Officer Austin Johnson shows Law Enforcement students what it's like to drive impaired with “drunk goggles.” We put students to the test using impairment goggles to simulate drunk driving. It starts with laughs, but it ends with a powerful lesson on why getting behind the wheel impaired is never worth the risk. Think you could pass? Featured students are: Max Groneman, Ashley Solis, Gunnar Emery, and Heagan Christmas.

Thanks to My Mayberry, who donated t-shirts to the Senior class. These were given out at the Jostens meeting yesterday during Advisory. Seniors - if you didn't get one, please come and pick one up in the front office.

Just a few days until Trunk or Treat! 🎃 Monday, Oct. 26, 7:00–8:00pm — SHS North Parking Lot. Costumes on, candy buckets ready. STUCO can't wait to see you there! 🍬👻

🎃 The SHS Orchestra presents the Halloween Orchestra Concert on Wednesday, October 28th at the SHS Auditorium. Doors open at 6:30pm, the music starts at 7pm, and admission is free — all you need to bring is your Halloween spirit!

🌶️ Chili Cook-Off Dinner — Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 5:30pm at Springville High School! Support the SHS Marching Band with a delicious chili dinner before the Fall Band Concert. Meals: $15 | with soda: $20 | Family meals: $100 | Family meals with soda: $125 | Pumpkin decorating table: $20. All proceeds support SHS Marching Band members — scan the QR code for tickets! Red Devil FBLA at UVU Competition

Springville High FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) attended the UVU Alan Hall Sales & Marketing Competition on Friday, October 9. Students competed in a social media campaign, resume writing, and artwork design. Students also completed a scavenger hunt and sang Karaoke.

Springville High attended the competition with Spanish Fork High and Springville Jr. High who recently became a new Jr. High FBLA chapter.

Competitive participants from Springville were: Brooklyn Cook, Olivia Braegger, Addy Utt, Violet Strong, Lacey Fairbanks, Sean Home, Celeste Angulo, Preston Lefler, Brooke Engle, Buster Anderson, Dominic Lazo, Andy Vargas, Rebecca Lopez, Sophia Montoya, Angie Reinel, Kai Shaffer, and Xander Chatterley. Their advisers are Mrs. Carey White, Mr. Alex Anderson, and Mr. Todd Baum.

Congratulations to all who competed and represented Springville Red Devils.

Sophomores, it's time to schedule your meeting with your counselor for a CCR meeting. During your College and Career Readiness (CCR) meeting, we will review important topics to help you plan for the future. This includes exploring career interests, discussing future college and scholarship opportunities, and making sure you are on track with course planning and selection for next school year. These meetings are a great opportunity to check in on progress and ensure you're prepared for the years ahead.
Sophomore CCR meetings will run November 2-December 11.
