Congratulations to the November Students of the Month nominated by faculty in the Social Studies department.
Calvin Sweat, nominated by Mr. Jacobus. "Calvin is always on top of his work and did an exceptional job on his unit test during term one. He is a great classmate and friend to those around him while in class."
Miwa Figuerres, nominated by Mr. Russell. "She demonstrated exceptional dedication during the first term, maintaining perfect attendance and earning one of the highest grades in the class. She is respectful, responsible, and a pleasure to have in class, consistently demonstrating maturity and independence. I especially appreciate her willingness to advocate for herself and take an active role in her education."
Daniel Bowers, nominated by Mr. Russell. "Daniel has exceeded my expectations. His inquisitive nature, intellectual curiosity, and conduct in the classroom reflect the qualities of a dedicated student of history. He demonstrates thoroughness and attention to detail in his research, assignments, and projects, all of which contribute to his academic success. I suspect that his ambition, motivation, and commitment to excellence extend well beyond my classroom."
Zoey Bowman, nominated by Mrs. Wilson. "Zoey Bowman is my choice for Student of the Month! Moving to a new school can be challenging, but Zoey has worked hard this year to do well in class and build new friendships. I have been so impressed by her willingness to put herself out there and the effort she puts into her schoolwork. She is kind, delightful, and a pleasure to have in class. I’m proud of the way she has approached this new chapter, and I’m so glad she is part of our school!"
Quin Clegg, nominated by Mr. Child. "Quin has been a wonderful student to have in class. He has expressed interest in American Government to the point that he hopes to get into politics as an adult. He is always attentive in class and loves to learn. He works well with other students and has a great relationship with his teachers."
Lily Peterson. "Lily is not scared to engage and is curious. She is interesting to talk to and has a great attitude. She also takes on challenges with aplomb. She is motivated by her own standards. She does not succumb to the whims of those around her but makes up her own mind and follows thru; at the same time, she also works well with others. She is curious and honest. I am glad I have had the chance to observe and be impressed by her."
Nelson Gaytan, nominated by Mr. Pace. "It has been a pleasure having Nelson in class! He works hard and is always willing to help others and take risks. He is a great young man!"
