The boys and girls teams got off to a great start this past weekend at the Grass Relays. The varsity boys placed fourth overall in the nineteen team meet held at American Fork High School. They were first among 4A teams, and were narrowly beaten by nationally ranked American Fork HS. The varsity consisted of Spencer Gardner, Spencer Foutz, Phillip Mecham, Jason Freeman and Rex Shields. Both Gardner and Shields were medalists, finishing 8 th and 5 th respectively. The girls team was paced by Virginia Ballard, and placed fourteenth overall. The JV boys placed 10 th out of 20 teams.
