SPRINGVILLE HIGH SCHOOL PRIDE
Creating a Positive Environment

Campus Care
A clean campus and buildings are conducive to a positive learning atmosphere. We need your help in creating a positive campus environment, please don’t litter. Please place all litter in trash containers. It is each person's responsibility to make sure that all litter is picked up in the parking lot, halls, lounges, and cafeteria.

LET'S DO OUR SHARE TO PROMOTE PRIDE AT SPRINGVILLE HIGH SCHOOL

Those students caught littering in any of the above areas can be referred to detention and given hours to work at the school to help clean. Please do everything in your power to keep our school clean and a pleasant place to attend.

Vandalism
Vandalism is a form of disrespect. We do everything at SHS to promote good feelings and a pleasant environment. Willful damage is contrary to State Law and is a cause for suspension. It is also very costly for our parents and all taxpayers. Just think -- you'll be tax payers some day.

Student Conduct
A school, like an individual, has certain qualities and characteristics that distinguish it from other schools. It can be industrious -- made up of individuals working toward common and personal goals -- or it can be listless and unimaginative. It can possess a spirit of pride and determination that is in evidence, or it can reflect pride, enthusiasm, and coordination.

The character of a school is determined by its citizens. You are a part of the character and image of Springville High School. As we desire to make SHS a prestigious school, it is very important that we take pride in our school and develop an outstanding school spirit. School spirit is defined as that intangible factor that makes you, the student, want to excel to bring credit to you and your school. It is spirit that, under all conditions and circumstances, keeps them true to established ideals and loyal to their school and fellow students. They then display good student citizenship.

As a student of SHS, you need to conduct yourself in such a manner as to maintain dignity and self-respect for yourself and others. In any association where it is necessary to group people together for any purpose, it is essential for certain rules or regulations to be instituted for the benefit of all concerned. The rules involved always depend upon the group to have them accomplish their purpose. In some cases, a few rules may be made that might be inconvenient for some individuals. However, it is a group that is kept in mind. Good manners, common courtesy, and general consideration of others are always in good taste. All students at SHS should demonstrate these traits.
