Academic Lettering
The purpose of this program is to encourage, reward, and promote academic excellence in all areas of our school. In order to receive an academic letter, each student must meet the requirements specified by individual departments. Students who earn academic letters will receive a professional certificate and will be recognized at the Academic Awards Assembly in May. The right to purchase a letter and wear it on a jacket/sweater is available to the individual student but is not required.
A student may pick up an application from the counseling office or from a teacher within the department in which he or she desires to earn a letter. Students must apply by May 4th. Applications are then submitted to and reviewed by the department chairperson.
