Springville High DECA Club service project to benefit local companies
The Springville High School DECA club is holding an important chapter community service project that will benefit local businesses. The program is called Adopt-a-Devil and is a service-based temporary agency.
The club has been handing out applications to students who are interested in gaining valuable work experience while doing service for businesses and organizations in our community.
The applications have the interests and previous work experience that the students have had. Their goal is to love to help our local businesses by allowing students to come and work for them on a temporary basis any time after school that the business may need them.
They want the business to give students tasks that will help them further their skills in the business world while gaining experience and knowledge of working in a professional environment. They hope to have businesses’ support in making this project a success.
If you would be interested in being involved in this project you can contact Shauna Binkard at 489-2870. They are holding a Networking Open House today, Thursday, Dec. 18, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., at Springville High School where business people can come and speak with the students who will be providing the service and learn more about how the project will be carried out. |
